Why Kirkwood?

  • Kirkwood gets the most snow in the Lake Tahoe area
  • Highest base elevation of any Tahoe resort
  • Lots of interesting terrain -- I still discover new places after skiing there for 7 years.
  • Easy drive on Hwy 88 while others are stuck in traffic
  • Two new lifts in Emigrant Basin. See pictures and more details here
    • Covered Wagon gains access to the highest point crossed on the historic Mormon Emigrant Trail ... not to mention wide open bowls, gladed trees, and mind-blowing backcountry access when the gates are open. Vertical drop to Chair 4: 1365 feet.
    • Lookout Vista replaces the hike to the famed chutes of Thunder Saddle along with access to snowfields and cliff bands of Sunnyside on your way to Chair 4. Vertical drop to Chair 4: 900 feet

NOTE: This site is not operated by Kirkwood Mountain Resort. The Network Pass program, however, is an official program run by Kirkwood. I am one of the individuals who organized corporate pass programs in previous years. Kirkwood has asked me to help in spread the word about the Network Pass program. Just like all other organizers, I do not receive any monetary compensation for the hours of work I'm putting into this to get you the best deal. Kirkwood does compensate oraganizers with a season pass, lift tickets and vouchers, based on the size of their group.
